when you travel, you give up your luggage
but sometimes, surprisingly, you get it back at the destination

the airline attaches a label, or a tag, for their own use

and that is exactly what mbuf tags are
mbuf pkthdr holds a queue head
mbuf tags form the queue
mbuf tag is a struct with the list pointer stuff, id, and length, followed by the tag data
